Who is Preston?

Preston has spent more than five years working door to door north of Seattle, so he knows these neighborhoods from the front step. Better Feeling grew out of that: a service where you meet the person doing the work before you hand over the keys.

Better Feeling is built around that. You will probably meet Preston on your front step before you ever see the website. He is the one who calls you about your estimate, and he is the one who does the work in your driveway. For the first year it is just him, so every car gets the same person.

Why is it called Better Feeling?

Because that is the whole point. A clean car feels different to get into. The name says what the customer gets, and it is something Preston can say on a doorstep in two words.

The mascot says the same thing. A car’s front already looks like a face, with headlights for eyes. The Better Feeling car has its eyes closed mid-sigh and a towel on its roof, like it has just come out of the spa. Most detailers build on black, with chrome, shields and aggressive styling made for enthusiasts. Better Feeling is cream, aqua and calm, because it is made for everyone else.

Who is Better Feeling for?

Everyday cars. The minivan with crumbs in the seat tracks, the three-row SUV that does the school run, the commuter that has not been cleaned since summer. Plenty of detailers chase luxury cars. Hardly anyone is looking after the car that actually gets used, and that is the car Better Feeling is for.

Why treatments instead of packages?

Because it is a spa. The Refresh, The Deep Tissue and The Full Reset are named for how deep each one goes, and each has a gauge that shows it. You can pick by what your car needs instead of decoding bronze, silver and gold.
